Blessed Samhain

Had a lovely day.
Enjoyed water aerobics. Completely replaced my c-pap machine ( a machine for people with sleep apnea) and found out what I need to make it work in Amsterdam.
Saw my financial advisor Trent Keenlance. Walked all the way from his office at the Post-Intelligencer building to Pike Place Market. Bought items for my Samhain ritual. Caught up on emails and posted my November classes and salons on Craig's list and tribe. If you want to see these go to my website at www.terrafire.org

Had a short check in phone call with my sweetie David.

My friends Jack/Orion and Susan and an unnamed friend of Susan's and I all participated in a moving Samhain ritual. Jack made lots of lovely food including Salmon with Hazelnuts. Salmon are said to have become wise by eating hazelnuts that fell into the water, this is Celtic mythology. Jack is Irish and a Druid and quite familiar with Death. We had created an altar of our ancestors and beloved dead. We drank whiskey and port and lambic ale. I brought pictures of my father who died in Feb 2005, my grandparents who died Summer of 2003, and my dear friend and teacher Pat Ray/Redwing who died in Spring 1994. Candles in a flame decorated glass bowl that my friend Kristen helped me make in his studio. Marigolds from the market. Skull bead Mala from my Kali puja practice. More candles. New skulls on a string from Kathy given to me yesterday. Lovely ginger candies.
We talked about each of our beloveds, telling stories about them: who they were, what they liked, what their deaths meant to us. We toasted them and drank and ate in their stead.

Beautiful cold windy October night. Jack and Susan each carved a pumpkin. Sat on Susan's balcony and watched the sky behind the Space Needle change colors.

I am getting very excited about my trip to Amsterdam with Jimbo. Just 15 days away.

Realizing I need to design some sexual healing rituals for women only "Yoni Healing Workshops" and forming the outlines for these in the back of my mind part of the day. Will start them in January, hopefully one every 3 months. Would love to teach them at Temple of the Senses. Also toying with the idea of doing "Initiation to Baubo" workshops again.

Have started to look for venues for the Kinky Carnival in February 2007 Will hold it on Saturday the 10th.
